About

Ahmed Almusawi is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over five years of experience, holding a master's degree in Clinical Psychology. He specializes in therapy for older teens and adults, focusing on such issues as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic disorder. Passionate about mental health awareness, he actively contributes through events at Islamic centers and universities, workshops, podcasts, and online psycho-education. He served as part of a training team at Al-Sabtain Academy in Karbala, Iraq in March of 2024, focusing on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disorders. He also taught Introduction to Islamic Psychology at Mufid Academic Seminary in both 2021 and 2024. In the summer of 2022, he founded 313 Counseling, a private practice located in Michigan, addressing the unique mental health needs of the Muslim community with in-person and telehealth options. He is committed to positively impacting mental well-being within the community and beyond. He also serves as a Qur’an reciter and teacher.
